WE SHALL BEHOLD HIM!

We are drawing to an end of our study of Heaven. Today's verse is a mesmerizing message. "They shall see His face, and His name shall be on their foreheads" (Rev. 22:4 NKJV).
No one has seen the face of God and lived to tell about it. God told Moses, "You cannot see My face; for no man shall see Me, and live" (Exo. 33:20). But in His graciousness He placed Moses in "the cleft of the rock" (we sing about this) and permitted Moses to see His back as He passed by (v. 22, 23). But in Heaven every Christian shall see His face and live to sing about it! Jesus said, "Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God" (Matt. 5:8). That passage shall be fulfilled when we all get to Heaven! But only the "pure in heart" will realize this precious promise. So John also writes, "Beloved, no we are the children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is. And everyone who has this hope in Him purifies himself, just as He is pure" (1 John 3:2, 3).
William Barclay said, "The sight of God produces two things. It produces the perfect worship; where God is always seen, all life becomes an act of worship. It produces the perfect consecration; the inhabitants of the city will have the mark of God upon their foreheads, show that they belong absolutely to Him." Now we worship a God we have never seen. Can you imagine the worship of God when we see His face? It will be incredible! I don't know what the mark on our foreheads will be, but I am sure that it will be an eternal "beauty mark." Don't miss Heaven for the world!
Hymn: "The sky shall unfold, preparing His entrance; The stars shall applaud Him with thunders of praise. The sweet light in His eyes shall enhance those awaiting; And we shall behold Him then face to face. And we shall behold Him, We shall behold Him - Face to face in all of His glory. Oh, we shall behold Him, we shall behold Him - Face to face, our Savior and Lord. And we shall behold Him, Our Savior and Lord!" (Dottie Rambo)
