SET APART YOUR THOUGHTS

DAY 17 - To "sanctify" means to "set apart for a holy purpose." I think we need to set apart our mind and thoughts to God. Before we ever share our thoughts with others (tomorrow's topic) we first need to set them apart for God. "But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear" (1 Pet. 3:15 KJV).

Every part of our being should be set apart for God. That includes our mind, our thoughts, our reasoning powers. We give God our money. We should give Him our minds. We give God our talents. We should give Him our thoughts. "Who then will offer willingly, consecrating himself today to the LORD?" (1 Chron. 29:5 ESV). A consecrated mind will lead to a consecrated life. Willingly set apart - consecrate - dedicate - your mind to God this day! "Take my mind and use it, for You, only You, O Lord!"
