YOUR NAME IN LIGHTS!

Other than on a church sign my name has never been in lights, has never been on a movie marquee or a "trailer" on TV. But some day all of us who have made Christ our life will have our name in lights! Consider what Paul says in today's text. "When Christ who is our life appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory" (Col. 3:4 NKJV). "You will all share in that magnificent denouement" (Phillips).

Jesus is coming to be glorified in His saints (2 Thess. 2:10), those who have made Christ their life. Christ will share His glory with those who have shared His life. Those who have made Christ the center of their lives will reign with Him in glory as kings and priests (Rev. 5:10). Christ will make every good and faithful servant a ruler over many things (Matt. 25:21). I sometimes wonder what some of my good Christian brothers and sisters who have gone on before me are doing this very minute. What are they ruling, managing, overseeing? How will we reign as kings and priests with Him in glory? I don't know but I believe it is going to be something grand and glorious. "Now appearing! With Christ in all His glory! Faithful Christian!" I close today with a song that has meant much to me in my Christian life.

Hymn: "The world all about me has now no allure: Its pleasures bring pain, Its wisdom is vain; I seek a foundation that's steadfast and sure: I'll put Jesus first in my life. In all that I say, in all that I do, throughout the world of toil and strife, by day and by night, through trust in His might, I'll put Jesus first in my life" (James DeForest Murch).
