"If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and maker Our home with him" (John 14:23 NKJV). Here is one of the greatest promises ever made to mankind. "We will come to him and make Our home with him." You can have Divine Presence living within you - if you love Christ and faithfully keep His teachings.

Some people live such evil lives that others may say, "I think he's got the devil living in him." I hope we live such Christ-like lives that others might say, "I do believe that Christ Himself lives in that person!" The indwelling presence of the living Christ is clearly taught in Scripture. He dwells in us by faith (Eph 3:17), so the more faith you have in Christ the more His presence will be felt and observed. He also helps us live by faith (Gal 2:20). Paul said the life he lived was by faith in the Son of God - that he no longer lived his own life but that his life emanated from Christ dwelling in him. Christ within helps us realize the Holy Spirit's presence (John 14:20), demonstrates Christ's world mission (John 17:23), and is our only hope of glory (Col. 1:27). But as today's text suggests, obedience is essential to have Christ come in and make His home with us (see also Rev 3:20; 1 John 3:24). I do believe that the more we love Christ, obey Christ, and have faith in Christ the more He will desire to make His home in our lives.

Hymn: Room for pleasure, room for business - but, for Christ the crucified, Not a place that He can enter in the heart for which He died? Room for Jesus, King of glory! Hasten now, His Word obey; Swing the heart's door widely open, Bid Him enter while you may (Source unknown).
