We really have not even scratched the surface of exploring some of the great names and titles of Jesus that are found in God's Word. I have been selecting a few from my 8-page study "Celebrating 33 Enduring Qualities of Jesus of Nazareth" in which I list 200 names and titles of the One we call Jesus. I am convinced that no person who has ever lived has had as many wonderful descriptive names attributed to himself or herself as has Jesus of Nazareth.

We will close out this portion of this study by looking at a few names/titles that start with "T," "U," and "W." Our Lord is that Teacher come from God (John 3:2) as Nicodemus once described Him. He is the Tender Plant of Isa 53:2, the Tried Stone (Isa 28:16), the True Light (John 1:9), the True Vine (John 15:1), and, of course, the Truth (John 14:6). He is God's Unspeakable Gift to us (2 Cor 9:15). He is also the Way (John 14:6), the Wisdom of God (1 Cor. 1:24), our Wonderful Counselor (Isa 9:6), the Word of God (Rev 19:13), and the Word of Life (1 John 1:1).

Well, I don't know about you but I am just overwhelmed by how the Holy Spirit nearly exhausts Himself to describe our Lord! Let His name(s) live forever and may the names of all others - along with all pretentious titles - be forgotten!
