"Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever" (Hebrews 13:8 NKJV).

Here are nine words you can count on! How glad I am that I serve a changeless Christ. He is a Christ for the ages. His word does not change. His love for us is everlasting. His promises are true. "I will never leave you nor forsake you" (verse 5). Unlike national and political leaders, there is no vacillation, flip-flopping, or veiled agendas with Christ. He is marble-constant, never yielding, always true to His character and word. His message has not changed. It is still believe in Me, confess My name, turn from sin, yield to baptism, be faithful unto death.

Others may change, Jesus will not. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever! There is something comforting in that, isn't there? When you come to Jesus, you always know what you will find. He is there in the hour of prayer. When we come to the Lord's Table, He is there in the loaf and the cup. When we pick up the Bible, He is there. He is the Living Logos (Word). More books, sermons, poems, and essays have been written about Jesus than any other person on earth. That is because He is totally trustworthy, tried and true. He is the flawless, sinless, changeless Christ. In Him "we have an altar" (verse 10). By Him "let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God" (verse 15). To Him "be glory forever and ever. Amen" (verse 21).
