IF YOU WANT TO SEE GOD - Part I

"Pursue peace with all people, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord" (Hebrews 12:12 NKJV).
Well, there it is. Straight out. Want to see God? O.K. Here is what you must do. (1) Pursue - really make an all-out effort - to live in peace with everyone. (2) Practice holiness in all your thoughts, words, and deeds. Otherwise, guess what? You won't ever see God. To never see God means you will be in a place of darkness, confusion, pain, and utter chaos. Not where I want to be!
Peacemakers are few in this world. Lots of people, even religious people, like to talk peace. But Jesus did not say, "Blessed are the peace talkers." Or "Blessed are the peace lovers." Only warmongers don't love peace. Adlai Stevenson said, "Making peace is harder than making war." Anyone can lob a bomb into a restaurant. We need peacemakers in the home, at work, and for sure in the church. If we had more peacemakers we might have less pacemakers! Make sure that your words and deeds today lead to peace. Shalom!
Chorus: "You're my brother, you're my sister, so take me by the hand. Together we will work until He comes. There's no foe that can defeat us when were walking side by side; as long as there is love, we will stand" (Russ & Tori Taff). And as long as there is PEACE, we will stand!
