A DAILY DOSE OF ENCOURAGEMENT!

"But encourage one another daily, as long as it is called Today, so that none of you may be hardened by sin's deceitfulness" (Hebrews 3:13 NIV).

This is why you can't "go it alone" as a Christian. You need to be encouraged and you need to be an encourager. Please, please note that the writer does not say, "Encourage one another weekly." No, he urges daily encouragement. You know what? This is what the early Christians did, but it is so much easier for us to do it today than they did then! We have telephones, cell phones, text messaging, voice mail, email, et all. There is no excuse for not being a daily encourager!

I try to do this for all who read "Honey from the Rock: Sweet Stuff from God's Word" on this website. But I hope you will take what I write and share it with others by forwarding some of these daily devotionals. Don't let this day end before you take the time to encourage someone in the Lord. It just could make a huge difference in his or her life. Christians will not become "hardened by sin's deceitfulness" when they are "softened by daily encouragement!"

Hymn/Prayer: "Give as was given to you in your need, Love as the Master loved you; Be to the helpless a helper indeed, Unto your mission be true. Make me a blessing, Make me a blessing, Out of my life may Jesus shine; Make me a blessing, O Savior, I pray Thee, Make me a blessing to someone today." (Ira B. Wilson)
