"ENTIRELY TRUE!"

"The entirety of Your word is truth, and every one of Your righteous judgments endures forever" (Psalm 119:160 NKJV). This stanza is built on the Hebrew letter RESH.
From beginning to end, the Word of God is true. You cannot say that of any other book in the world. Authors are fallible but God is infallible. The NIV reads, "All your words are true." All of them. It is impossible for God to lie (Titus 1:2). Whatever God says about any person or anything is 100%, absolutely true. In a world that denies and even despises absolutes, that is an intolerant statement. Intolerant, perhaps, but still true.
So I am going to base my eternal life on the written record of God's Word. I will not be deterred by what unbelieving or skeptical men and women have said about Holy Scripture. Long after they are dead and gone the Word of God will remain - it shall endure forever. People often say, "Well, that's not entirely true!" when they hear some comment. And, case by case, that may be true. But there is no denying that "the entirety of God's Word is true." From Genesis to Revelation flows a mighty River of Truth. Plunge in today and be made whole.
Hymn: "Standing on the promises that cannot fail, when the howling storms of doubt and fear assail, by the living word of God I shall prevail, standing on the promises of God" (R. Kelso Carter).
