Choose the Right Road

"I have chosen the way of truth; Your Judgments I have laid before me" (Psalm, 119:30 NKJV). This stanza begins with the 4th letter of the Hebrew alphabet, DALETH.
Each day that begins finds us standing at a crossroads. One way is the Way of Truth. The other way is the Way of Lies (v. 29). Could there be a greater contrast? Truth and lies. Satan is the father of lies; truth emanates from God through His Son and His Word. But you and I have to make that choice each day. Which road am I going to get on today?
It is so easy to "fudge" a little, to tell a "little white lie," or just to remain silent when we know we should speak for the cause of truth and righteousness. The choice is ours. Two roads beckon. We know which road we should take - 100%, all the time. The psalmist declared, "I will run the course of Your commandments" (v. 32). That's the road I want to take. That's the road I must take.
Prayer: Dear God, "remove me from the way of lying, and grant me Your law graciously. I have chosen the way of truth; Your Judgments I have laid before me....I will run the course of Your commandments, for You shall enlarge my heart" (v. 29-32). Through Christ we pray.
