The Blessed Walk

"Blessed are the undefiled in the way, who walk in the law of the LORD!" (Psalm 119:1 NKJV.) This stanza begins with the first character of the Hebrew alphabet, ALEPH.
Here we learn that blessedness (happiness) comes to those who have been cleansed by God and are walking with Him in unbroken fellowship. A person can choose to walk in his own ways (the flesh), in the ways of the world, or even in the ways of the tempter (Satan). But you and I will be much happier if we choose to live by the teachings of the Word of God!
How blessed we are when we choose to "keep His testimonies" and "seek Him with the whole heart" (v. 2). Life is one big choice. And there are consequences to our choices. Those who walk The Blessed Walk will "not be ashamed" v. 6) and will praise God "with uprightness of heart" (v. 7).
Prayer: "Oh, that my ways were directed to keep Your statutes!...I will keep Your statutes; Oh, do not forsake me utterly!"
