"After this I looked and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count..." (Revelation 7:9 NIV).
Revelation is relevant! You can't go wrong modeling your congregation after the church in heaven. A church like the church in heaven will be innumerable ("a great multitude that no one could count"). No church directory, congregational roll book or brotherhood yearbook needed! A church like the church in heaven will be international and bilingual ("from every nation, tribe, people and language"). Christ died for all!
A church like the church in heaven will be reverent ("standing before the throne and in front of the Lamb"). Godly awe is a hallmark of the church in heaven. A church like the church in heaven will be pure ("they were wearing white robes"). Robes made white in the red blood of the Lamb (7:14). Finally, a church like the church in heaven will be jubilant ("and they were holding palm branches in their hands. And they cried out in a loud voice: 'Salvation belongs to our God, who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb'"). Every day is "Palm Sunday" in heaven!

Prayer: O God Who sits on the throne, thank You for including us in Your far-flung Kingdom! Thank You for washing us from our sins in the blood of Your Son, the Lamb of God, in Whose name we pray. Amen.
