"But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life" (Jude 20-21 NKJV).
Here are 4 practical suggestions for maintaining your life with God. Do something each day to build yourself up in your faith. This is "spiritual body building." What stretches your faith? Do it? Next, develop a strong prayer life. A friend once confessed to me, "My prayer life stinks!" Ask the Holy Spirit to change the aroma of your prayer life.
Third, practice discipline and keep yourself in God's love. Yes, God is able to keep you from falling (v. 24), but you have some responsibilities too! Avoid temptation. Detour people or places you know have a bad influence on you. Finally, spend some time each day pondering the return of Christ. He is going to come back some day. Are you looking for His return? Incorporate these actions words into your spiritual life: building, praying, keeping, looking!
Prayer: "To God our Savior, Who alone is wise, Be glory and majesty, Dominion and Power, Both now and forever. Amen" (Jude 25)
