The Fullness of Time

"But when the fullness of the time had come, God sent for His Son, born of a woman, born under the law, to redeem those who were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons" (Gal. 4:4,5 NKJV).
God's timing is always perfect. Here we learn that "when the fullness of time had come," God sent Jesus into thee world. God could have sent Jesus immediately after the Fall of man in the Garden of Eden, but He did not. He could have sent Jesus instead of Moses to deliver the Children of Israel from Egypt, but He did not. He waited until the time was right - until the time was ripe.
Man would not have understood the enormity of sin had Jesus come after the Fall or to lead Israel out of Egypt. "In the fullness of time" Christ came "to bring redemption to a war-torn and sin-weary humanity" (Earle Cairns). Through roads build by Rome, a universal language given by the Greeks, and Judaism ("the stalk on which the rose of Christianity was to bloom" -E.C.), the time was right for Jesus to enter the world. Aren't you thankful that God sent Jesus at just the right time to redeem us and adopt us as His own?
Praise: "In loving kindness Jesus came my soul in mercy to reclaim, and from the depths of sin and shame through grace He lifted me. From sinking sand He lifted me, with tender hand He lifted me, from shades of night to plains of light, O praise His name, He lifted me!" (Charles H. Gabriel)
