Uncondemned!

"There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit" (Romans 8:1 NKJV).
Little wonder this is my favorite verse in Romans. Because we have been "justified by His blood" (5:9) we may stand uncondemned before God. Will God condemn those who stand under the blood of His Son? I think not. If we are "in Christ" He will not cast us out. And notice the time frame: "There is therefore NOW no condemnation..."
If there is no condemnation to those who are in Christ there should be no condemnation to those who are under His blood and in His church! Yet Paul has to remind the Christians in Rome not to condemn one another (14:3-13). Our Lord told the woman taken in adultery, "Neither do I condemn you." That should be our motto. "No condemnation in this congregation to those who are in Christ Jesus!"
Praise: "He bore it all that I might in His presence live, Jesus bore it all that I might see His shining face, He freely bore it all that I with Him might live; I stood condemned to die but Jesus freely took my place, He bore it all that I might live" (J. R. Baxter, Jr.)
