"Then those who feared the LORD spoke to one another, and the LORD listened and heard them; so a book of remembrance was written before Him for those who fear the LORD and who meditate on His name" (Malachi 3:16 NKJV).

In the foyer of the Don DeWelt Prayer Center, where POEM has its offices, you will find a leather-bound "Book of Remembrance." Inscribed in the book are the names of many people who have lived out our verse of the day, Malachi 3:16. It is dedicated in honor of those living and in memory of those gone on who have taken the time to speak to others on important matters.

Thomas Campbell said, "Until you associate, consult, and advise together, and in a friendly manner explore the subject, nothing can be done." If we have any fear of the Lord at all, we will do our best to speak to one another - to associate and in a friendly manner explore the subject. This ministry has been doing its best for 25 years to do just that. I know that many of you today have done and are doing the same. May God bless all who are in His "Book of Remembrance."

This devotion completes my favorite verses in the Old Testament. Tomorrow we shall begin looking at some of my favorite passages in the New Testament.

Prayer: Our Father in heaven, we thank You for the many words of wisdom we find in the Old Covenant Scriptures. May these that we have highlighted the last 39 days be a blessing to those who have taken the time to consider Your Word. Through Christ we pray.
