"But as for you, you meant evil against me; but God meant it for good, in order to bring it about as it is this day, to save many people alive" (Genesis 50:20 NKJV).

Starting today I will share with you my favorite passage of Scripture from each book of the Bible. I love this verse because it shows the wonderful ways of God. We call it "providence." God took what Joseph's brothers meant for evil and turned it into something very good for all involved in the story, even Joseph's brothers!

Even the worst efforts of your enemies can be turned into something good by the providence of God. He specializes in taking the ugly and turning it to beauty. Do not let what others say, think, or do bother you. Know that behind the scenes God is always at work, working for your good, as long as you are living faithfully for Him like Joseph did. Affirm with me this truth right now: You meant it for evil, but God meant it for good!

Song: It matters to Him about you, your heartaches, your sorrow He shares, regardless of what you may do He wants you, He loves, you He cares. Oh yes, it matters to Him about you, believe it because it is true. Cling to His hand, He'll understand, for it matters to Him about you. (Audrey Mieir)
