Cold Water News

"As cold water to a weary soul, so is good news from a far country" (Proverbs 25:25 NKJV).

This is "Cold Water News" not the "Cold Water Blues." Sometimes our hopes are dashed when someone casts cold water on our dreams or plans, but this is the opposite. Like a cup of cold water given to a weary traveler, so is one who brings good news from a distant land.

That's the way I feel when I get an encouraging email from India or Poland or Russia or other places where our ministry tries to be a blessing. It is good to hear reports of people turning to Christ and churches growing both in number and spirit. Of course, the best "good news from a far country" that we ever received is the gospel of Christ which came to us from Heaven itself!
