Lord of the Nations

"Gilead is Mine; Manasseh is Mine; Ephraim also is the helmet for My head; Judah is My lawgiver. Moab is My washpot; over Edom I will cast My shoe; Over Philistia I will triumph" (Psalm 108:8,9 NKJV).
Every nation that has ever existed or that exists today belongs to Almighty God. That should keep dictators and and despots (especially those who foolishly claim that there is no God) from making fools of themselves, but it does not. The Creator is the ruler of the nations. He does with them exactly as He pleases.
You and I serve a God who can claim us as His. We are His by right of creation but more importantly His by right of re-creation. Just as He declared of the nations, "This one is Mine and that one is Mine" (even if they did not serve Him) so He speaks of you and me today. I want to be called His as a willing subject and not as a proud boaster whom He will surely humble some day.
Hymn: Beautiful Savior! Lord of the nations! Son of God and Son of Man! Glory and honor, praise, adoration, now and forevermore be Thine! (Crusader's Hymn)
