Conquering Adversity

"If you faint in the day of adversity, your strength is small" (Proverbs 24:10 NKJV).
I remember reading this verse when I was in Bible college back in the 60s. Those were times when the funds were low and the anxiety level was high. One vacation period, when I and one other boy were living in the dorm alone, we survived on a box of crackers and a jar of peanut butter.
Our adversity, of course, was nothing in comparison to what some people were facing. But whatever the adverse conditions are, we can still conquer through Christ. Our verse today says that if we faint in the day of adversity, our strenth is small. But when we focus on Christ, everything changes. "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." Are you facing adversity today? Anchor yourself to Christ and He will provide the strength to stand the test!
Prayer: Loving Father we thank You today for the power of Christ in our lives. May we draw upon His strength to overcome adversity. Thank You in Jesus' name,
