The Importance of Access This entry was posted on 12-15-2006 and is filed under Devotional. "...through whom also we have access by faith..." (Romans 5:1 NKJV).
Not only do we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, but through Him we also have access to the Father, by faith. This has to be one of the richest thoughts in all of the Bible. Who in England has access to the Queen? Precious few. Who in America has access to the man in the Oval Office. Again, precious few. But think of this. The believer has access to Almighty God, the Creator of the Universe! My friend Ed Bousman has a radio broadcast called "God is Just a Prayer Away." That's it. Does it not boggle your brain to know that we have access into the Throne Room of Grace? But it is through Christ that we have access. God recognizes prayers offered to Him in the name of His Son. Prayer: Our Father in Heaven, how wonderful it is that we may approach You today because of our faith in Your Son Jesus Christ. Thank You that you are never more than just a prayer away. |
