I Believe God

"Therefore take heart, men, for I believe God that it will be just as it was told me" (Acts 27:25 NKJV).

Aboard a ship whose mates had given up all hope of life, Paul was visited by an angel who gave him a message of hope. "God has granted you all those who sail with you" (v. 24). Paul encouraged the hope-starved sailors to take heart.

On the sea of life there are many who have given up all hope. That's when you and I, as children of God who have hope, should step up and say, "Take heart!" We have a message than can alter their course. But we have to believe that message. Notice that Paul declared, "I believe God that it will be just as it was told me." The promises of God are true. He said He would send His Son. He did. He said He will send His Son again. He will. Believe that it will be just as it was told you in His Holy Word!

Prayer: Our Father in Heaven, why should we ever doubt that what You have said will come true? Time and time again You have proven that Your Word is true. May we always believe it...and share it with those who have lost all hope. Through Christ, Who is our Hope, we pray.
