The 52-day Miracle

"So the wall was finished...in fifty-two days. And it happened when all our enemies heard of it, and all the nations around us heard of it, that they were very disheartened in their own eyes; for they perceived that this work was done by our God" (Nehemiah 6:15 NKJV).
King Solomon said, "A desire accomplished is sweet to the soul" (Proverbs 13:19). That's what we see today in our text. In only fifty-two days (not weeks) Nehemiah and his band of dedicated workers completed their work on the walls surrounding Jerusalem. Even their enemies had to admit that the work was of God!
Friend, what wonderful repairs might God be able to do in your life in only fifty-two days (about eight weeks)? Can "The 52-day Miracle" still happen? In your life? If you too have "a mind to work" and will be faithful to do all that you can do, I believe God will be faithful to accomplish what He wants done in your life – not for your glory and praise but for His. "For it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure" (Phil. 2:13). Give Him eight weeks and see!
