Almost Persuaded!

"Then Agrippa said to Paul, 'You almost persuade me to become a Christian" (Acts 26:28 NKJV).
This was Agrippa's sad response to Paul's testimony. We know that Agrippa had some knowledge of God's Word and believed it to be true because Paul told him, "King Agrippa, do you believe the prophets? I know that you do believe" (v. 27).
How many people believe the Bible to be the Word of God, perhaps even believe that Jesus is the Christ, but never become a Christian? Millions – and I hope you are not one of them. I was persuaded to become a Christian when I was 12 years old and I have never regretted that decision. I believe Agrippa came to regret his non-decision. It is better to be fully persuaded than almost persuaded. One of the saddest invitation songs I ever heard sung was "Almost Persuaded." As you sing or read the following words today, be fully persuaded to follow Christ all the days of your life!
Song: "Almost persuaded" now to believe; "Almost persuaded" Christ to receive/Seems now some soul to say, "Go, Spirit, go Thy way, some more convenient day on Thee I'll call." (Philip P. Bliss)
