"Then I arose in night, I and a few men with me; I told no one what my God had put in my heart to do at Jerusalem" (Nehemiah 2:12 NKJV).

"Known only to God are the great hidden secrets." Nehemiah had a hidden secret. God had actually put it in his heart. He did not tell a single soul what the secret was until he was ready to act.

Has God placed a burden on your heart to do something that will bring him glory and bless His people? Wonderful! Be sure that you nurture that secret, give it time to develop, and then when the time is right, make it known to others like Nehemiah did.

Prayer: Wonderful Father, thank You for being mindful of us. Thank You for place in our hearts a burden to do something great for You. Help us to be wise and patient as we nurture that vision before sharing it with others. Through Christ we pray.
