"Oh, that My people would listen to Me, that Israel would walk in My ways!...He would have fed them also with the finest of wheat; and with honey from the rock I would have satisfied you" (Psalm 81:13, 16 NKJV).
I think it is important that every once in awhile I remind you, my faithful readers, why this daily Bible study exists. We created "Honey from the Rock" so that you can get "Sweet Stuff from God's Word" every day - seven days a week. These thoughts come directly from my daily meditation upon God's Word and I hope they are a blessing to you. Read the entire 81st psalm sometime. God was so good to Israel. He gave them manna from heaven and water from a rock. But if they had consistently listened to Him, and would have always walked in His ways, he would have given them something better than manna - the finest of wheat; and more than water, He would have given them honey from the rock! Isn't God good to you? If you want wheat and honey, God will give it to you - if you spend time in His Word and "hear His voice in every line." Then put it into practice - walk in His ways, do what He says. And "honey from the rock" will be yours in abundance!
