"I Commend You To..."

"So now, brethren, I commend you to God and to the word of His grace, which is able to build you up and give you an inheritance among all those who are sanctified" (Acts 20:32 KJV).
Paul had every confidence that he could commend the brethren in Ephesus to God and the word of His grace. And why not? Both are constant, faithful, and never change. We need the assurance of God and the accuracy of His word in a world that changes every day.
Do you need built up today? Do you need encouragment, hope, and more faith? God is that constant source of encouragment. You can go to Him - even now - in prayer and know that if you come to Him in Jesus' name your prayer will be heard. And what a treasure we have in the word of God, or as it it called here, "the word of His grace." Every passage is a string of pearls. Every word is worth more than a rare ruby. What Paul commended to those in Ephesus I commend to you today - a God who cares enough to hear our prayers and answer them according to His will and the word of His grace that ministers to us in every line, with every word!
Song: More about Jesus would I know, More of His grace to others show/More of His saving fulness see, More of His love who died for me. More about Jesus in His Word, Holding communion with my Lord/Hearing His voice in every line, making each faithful saying mine. (Eliza E. Hewitt)
