Feeling Mighty "Vine"

"You have brought a vine out of Egypt; You have cast out the nations and planted it" (Psalm 80:8 NKJV).
David
uses the metaphor of a vine to describe the nation of Israel. He goes
on to say that God "prepared room for it," and caused it to "take root"
so that it "filled the land." In the New Testament, Jesus says that He
is the vine and we are the branches (John 15).
Nutrients come
from the vine. God nurtures us into being a more productive and
spiritual people, just as He intended with Israel. It is vital that we
"abide in the vine" today, i.e., Jesus Christ. He is the source of all
our spiritual strength. The secret of being a fruitful Christian is to
"abide in the vine." Then you will feel "mighty vine!"
Song: Take time to be holy, speak oft with thy Lord, abide in Him always, and feed on His word.
