"And the hand of the Lord was with them, and a great number believed and turned to the Lord" (Acts 11:21 NKJV).

When the hand of the Lord is with you, great things happen! This passage reveals to us how vital it is to have the presence of the Lord in our lives and in our Christian assembies. Would a great number of people in Antioch have believed and turned to the Lord if they did not sense His presence and power? I think not.

The most important person in our life or assembly of believers is the Lord. He is the drawing card, the magnet, the One Who should be lifted up, the One Who bestows the blessing. Rahab the harlot wanted to be with Israel because she knew the Lord was present with them. If Christ is in our presence, He will draw all men unto Himself. Let's live so that we are constantly under the nail-scarred hand of the Lord.

Song: There are days so dark that I seek in vain for the face of my Friend Divine; but though darkness hide, He is there to guide by the touch of His hand on mine. O the touch of His hand on mine! There is grace and power in the trying hour, in the touch of His hand on mine. (Jessie Brown Pounds)
